Recently I read that nearly half of female smartphone users check their social media before doing anything else in the morning. Washing your face, brushing your teeth, or even stepping out of bed? Mehhh... whatever. I'm willing to admit I'm one of those people. (Although, somehow I've never been randomly stopped at the street for such a questionnaire. Where do they find all those 'real' people for research results?!) Checking my phone is one of my first morning rituals, so I hope I can keep my digital composure now that I've added yet another device to my Apple collection. Welcome to the This chick's got style head quarters, iPad! (And in case you were wondering: yes it's OK to collect technology mainly because of the cute cases and sleeves available).
So tell me... any cool apps, programs, tips regarding this thing? Clearly iPad cover suggestions are much appreciated. And if you have a tablet, what do you mainly use it for?

I had an iPad for two years and I've decided to get rid of it, I prefer netbooks, they're more funcional... :)

Nice buy! Ik denk dat ik binnenkort ook maar 1 ga halen. Ik sleep nu altijd mijn macbook mee maar ik vind het toch te zwaar! Gucci heeft hele leuke siliconen ipad covers, ik gebruik er nu 1 maar dan voor mijn iphone! De prijzen vallen ook reuze mee ;) Verder vind ik dat alexander wang en prada hele mooie hoezen hebben! Hoop dat je hier wat aan hebt :)

De Ifont app is inderdaad een hele goede en ik vraag me bij al die testen ook vaak af waar ze die mensen vandaan halen. Ik zie alleen maar mensen die voor mijn neus heen en weer springen om me lid te laten worden van ik weet niet welke stichting. Ik word zelf nog eens goed doel als ik daar allemaal lid van wordt ;) xx

I use my iPad every time I'm lazy to open my laptop. It's like my second 'home'?! haha But it's very useful, specially when travelling and for me it's one of the better purchases i've ever made:)

Ik gebruik hem als krant tijdens m'n ontbijt haha (nu.nl) en om mail/blogs/social networks te checken. En om spelletjes te spelen tijdens hoorcollege's.
Een tip: de standaardbrowser ondersteunt geen flash, dus ik zou even een andere browser zoeken in de appstore. Anders doen heel veel sites en filmpjes het niet!
Voor leuke hoesjes kijk ik vaak op Ebay, en op Etsy staan ook heeele mooie.

You're so right. There are so many cute sleeves.
It's great when you want something light and on the go, yet bigger than the iPhone. An ultra-portable laptop, if you will. I bought the smart cover from Apple to go with it, the one that you can fold into a stand of sorts. I like that it's flat when I don't want a stand, and it comes in some great colors. Enjoy!

i'm always using photo apps on ipad because the screen is bigger and easier to use, like instagram and decopic (cute asian-esque stickers/pen tools to decorate photos). And the pinterest app is really great now too~
I actually don't have a sleeve for it though -_- tsk tsk. There's just too many to choose from!

My fiance gifted one to me, but when she broke up, he took it back. I do not doubt her actions, but I feel the whole experience was not worth it. I still bought iPad mini and I love it :)
